Six life sentences are given to a South African Policewoman for murdering her boyfriend, five family members and plotting insurance fraud.

  • Woman got an estimated £69,000 from her bloody deeds in insurance payouts
  • She personally poisoned one sister’s tea, strangling her when that failed
  • When one of her hitmen alerted the police, she was captured.

A South African policewoman was yesterday handed six life sentences for murdering her boyfriend and five relatives in a chilling insurance fraud plot.

Rosemary Ndlovu, 46, was caught before she could carry out her plans to kill her mother, another sister, and her sister’s five children.

She cashed in an estimated £69,000 from her bloody deeds in insurance payouts, Johannesburg High Court was told.

Ramarumo Monama, Judge, added to six life sentences 95 years imprisonment for incitement, attempted murder and insurance fraud.

Ndlovu was from Thembisa, near Johannesburg. She killed her sister, brother, boyfriend, niece and nephew and one other relative between 2012-2017.

A lot of the trial’s proceedings were broadcast live to an incredulous nation.

According to the court, most of her victims were ambushed by hitmen who would either kill or bludgeon them until death.

But she personally poisoned one sister’s tea, strangling her when that failed.

She was caught in 2018, when one of her hitmen tipped off the police after she hatched a plan to burn down another sister’s house.
