Princess Isabella of Denmark has celebrated her confirmation day in spectacular style by donning her mother Mary’s iconic white pantsuit and Queen Alexandrine’s pearl and diamond brooch.
The Danish royal family assembled on Saturday at Fredensborg Castle Church in Fredensborg, Denmark, to herald the special occasion with Crown Princess Mary, 50, and Prince Frederik, 53, joined by their four children Christian, 16, Isabella, 15, and twins Josephine and Vincent, 11.
Mary of Hobart was a royal looking in an amaranth coloured gown. Princess Isabella, however, in a Max Mara blazer borrowed from the Queen and a brooch she wore to the event caught the eye of all her fellows.
Josephine, her younger sister joined in on the clothing swapping fun and wore a pink gown worn by Isabella. Simple and elegant, the men in the family wore statement-blue suits.

The teenage Princess is currently third in line to the Danish throne after her father and elder brother Christian.
Official Instagram account of the Danish Royal Family states that ‘Isabella’ was today confirmed by bishop Henrik Wigh–Poulson.
“Fredensborg Castle Church Church was used over the last 100 years for many Ecclesiastes by members of the royal families.
“The church is the main venue for royal confirmations. It was in this church, Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Hirness The Crown Prince were respectively confirmed in 1955 and 1981. Most recently in 2021, His Royal Highness Prince Christian.

Pecking Order: The Danish princess is currently the third-in-line to the Danish throne, after Christian and her older brother Christian.
Following their 2000 Slip Inn meeting in Sydney, during the Olympic Games 2000, Frederik (then 32 years old) asked Mary her number. A romance blossomed.
“The first time that we met, we had shook hands. He was not the Prince of Denmark, I did not know. A half hour later, someone approached me and asked me if I knew who they were. Mary spoke out about her meeting with the Danish heir to its throne in an interview.
For a year they maintained an intimate relationship over long distance. Frederik made secret trips down under before Mary went to Denmark in 2001 to learn Danish at Copenhagen’s Studieskolen.

Origin story: Fred, a 32-year old Danish sailing coach who visited Australia in 2000 to help the Olympic team of sailors from Denmark, asked Mary her number. A romance blossomed.
Frederik’s mother, Queen Margrethe, publicly recognized the relationship early in 2003. They announced their engagement later that year at Amalienborg Castle on October 8th.
Frederik and Mary were married at Copenhagen Cathedral on May 14, 2004. Mary, the Crown Princess of Denmark, chose a stunning gown designed by Uffer Frank in Denmark and used a veil that was originally worn by Crown Princess Margaret (Sweden) in 1905.
Prince Christian Valdemar Henri John became their first child on October 15, 2005. The second, Princess Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe, followed the couple’s lead on April 21, 2007.
Nearly four years later Mary & Frederik were blessed with twins. Prince Vincent Frederik Minik Alexander and Princess Josephine Sophia Ivalo Mathilda arrived at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen on January 8, 2011, to welcome their children.
