Queen Maxima of the Netherlands cut a patriotic figure today as she donned a Dutch orange gown to arrive in Dubai.
The mother-of-three, 50, and her husband King Willem-Alexander, 54, landed at the Abu Dhabi International airport ahead of a whirlwind two day visit to the country.
The couple will visit Expo 2020 Dubai tomorrow, where they will attend Al Wasl Plaza’s official opening of the Netherlands Pavilion.
Queen Maxima, the bride, opted for a brown gown with white polka dots from Zimmerman. It was cinched at her waist with a matching fabric belt.

Queen Maxima chose a brooch with a diamond-encrusted design in the form of a bow with a large hanging pearl below to add a touch of sophistication and glamour.
The royal, who loves to coordinate her show-stopping outfits with glittering broochs, paired the brooch with matching large teardrop pearl earrings.
She wore a sparkling, diamond-encrusted bracelet on her wrist and a simple but sophisticated gold link bracelet on one side. She also carried a suede brown purse which she matched with her heels.
Willem Alexander, Willem’s husband, looked equally elegant in a tailored blue suit, which he paired with a classic yellow tie, matching pocket square, and a matching white shirt.

The royal looked fabulous in the mid-length gown that she paired with a selection accessories and a face mask.
The pavilion, which aims ‘to unite water, energy, and food solutions for happier and greener planets’, has been supported by 50 Dutch companies.
The Netherland’s Pavilion was created to be a circular climate system that features an ability to create water from the desert air using solar energy.
The pavilion is also a step in the right direction of sustainable construction.
The Dutch royals will be accompanied during their visit by Tom de Bruijn, Minister of Foreign Trade and Development.

It comes after a busy period for the Queen Maxima, who last week donned a vibrant outfit to visit the museum of modern art in Amsterdam.
The Dutch royal headed to the Stedelijk Musuem, which displays modern and contemporary art, to mark the 50th anniversary of the Fonds Kwadraat, an art foundation which provides funding for art projects around the Netherlands.
Maxima chose a creative outfit for the occasion. A blue sweater was tucked into a midi skirt in layers of red, yellow and white with floral detailing.
The mother-of-3 looked great as she braved the Amsterdam drizzle to get to the event. It aims to connect artists and professionals from the art industry and art lovers.
And days earlier, Maxima sported another colourful outfit as she travelled to Rotterdam’s City Hall to mark the 40th anniversary of the Foundation Halt, a non-profit organisation tackling youth offences.
This organisation is responsible for executing sentences and puts together short-term interventions that prevent and combat petty crime such as vandalism and shoplifting.
