Fetty Wap, a rapper has been freed from prison after spending eight nights behind bars for drug-related charges.

New Jersey’s 30-year-old man, Willie Maxwell II was taken into custody at Citi Field, New York City, on October 28th.  

The charges against him included plotting to sell large quantities of heroin, cocaine and fentanyl. 

He was originally expected to be held until trial, but on Friday evening, U.S. District Judge Joanna Seybert released him on a $500,000 secured bond.

An ankle bracelet could be seen on the left side of the rapper’s leg after he was asked to consent to GPS monitoring.

His passport must be surrendered and he has to undergo random drug testing. Any travel requires the prior approval of Pre-trial Services and the U.S. Attorney’s Office. 

Divinity Maxwell his sister and his girlfriend, who are both hairdressers, met him. 

Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office published photos from the raid, including $1.5 million cash, stacks cocaine, bags heroin and fentanyl.

The photos show the huge stash of cash, consisting of hundred, fifty, twenty and ten dollar bills that add up to more than a million dollars divided up into a dozen large, clear baggies, as well as drug paraphernalia including metal pipes and hollow boxes.

A stack of multiple bricks of cocaine and heaps of heroin baggies were photographed as well. Also, bricks covered in aluminum marked ‘AC’ were taken.

Fetty Wap was arrested by FBI agents at the sports stadium and was In Central Islip, New York.   

Five others were also accused of running a drug ring and conspiring to sell drugs at the festival.

The rapper was previously arrested for drunk driving

The rapper had been previously arrested on suspicion of drunk driving 

Officials claimed that the group ran a drug operation worth multimillions of dollars and transported more than 100 kilograms of opioids and Fentanyl (a dangerous and powerful opioid) from West Coast to East Coast. They also sold it on Long Island and New Jersey.

Hours before his arrest, the rapper had posted a cryptic note on his Instagram Story, writing: ‘N***** move cautious never worried,’ with a prayer emoji and a crown emoji. 

Hours before the bust, he arrived at Citi Field with an entourage.   

Along with Anthony Cyntje (a New Jersey corrections officer); Anthony Leonardi; his brother Robert Leonardi; Brian Sullivan, Kavaughn Wiggins and Brian Sullivan, the rapper was also charged. 

The FBI is still investigating him for some time. It’s not clear if any other suspects have been involved.  

FBI agent Michael Driscoll said: ‘The fact that we arrested a chart-topping rap artist and a corrections officer as part of the conspiracy illustrates just how vile the drug trade has become.’ 

He was also charged with reckless endangerment, drunk driving and aggravated unlicensed motor vehicle operation, as well as illegally changing lanes, drag racing, and drunk driving.
