It was today revealed that a Russian commander of a brigade in Ukraine died from injuries sustained while being attacked by mutinous soldiers.

Officials in the West believe that Colonel Yuri Medvedev, a commander of the 37th Motor Rifle Brigade, was killed after suffering huge losses.

One of the seven casualties in World War II was the lieutenant general who commanded the 49th Combined Arms Army.

Recent footage from the remarkable episode supports the news of Colonel Medvedev’s fate. It was reported that twenty of the 120 battalions assembled by Vladimir Putin were rendered inoperative due to the staunch resistance of Ukraine.

Putin may be adding at least 10 to his army to strengthen his position, according to officials. This could indicate that he’s ‘all-in’ on his failed invasion and is preparing for a chemical strike to reverse the tide.

An official from the West said that Russia’s inability to organize so far was’remarkable,’ mocking claims it has achieved its main military goals.

Some areas had suffered losses that were’really severe’, they claimed. There were initially 115-120 tactical battalion groups in the Russian army, however, twenty battalions had not been considered to be combat effective and had been removed, due to either vehicle damage or massive losses.

Sometimes, three battalions were merged to redeploy.

According to the official, Colonel Medvedev was shot and killed because of his brigade’s losses. It gives an idea of some the morale issues the Russian forces are facing.

According to the official, the tank appeared to have taken out the colonel. They stated that they believed he had been killed deliberately by his troops.

After suffering serious injuries to his legs, footage showed that Colonel Medvedev was being taken into hospital.

This episode recalls ‘Fragging,’ a Vietnam War episode in which soldiers used grenades to take out hated officers.

Western officials fear that Vladimir Putin is generating new battalions and is going 'all-in- behind his botched invasion

Western officials are concerned that Vladimir Putin may be creating new battalions to support his failed invasion.

According to Western officials, Putin seems to be creating 10 additional battalion tactical units’maybe more to strengthen his forces. This is a clear indication that Putin is ‘all-in’.

“If we consider that at most 115 to 120 plus another 10, maybe 10 come in, then that is a significant portion of the Russian combat mass that was taken for this operation.

“It gives an indication of Putin’s ‘all in’ approach to this operation.

There are growing concerns about Russia’s use of chemical weapons in its desperate state.

Officials in the West believe Russia will attempt to organize a “chemical false flag operation.”

“If they continue to run true to form, I expect them to fail,” the official stated. He added that NATO should be capable of revealing the truth.

Roman Tsymbaliuk (Ukraine) said Tuesday in a Facebook posting that Colonel Medvedev’s 1500-strong tank battalion was losing around half its strength because of injury or death.

Tsimbalyuk reported that a soldier ran over Colonel Yuri Medvedev’s brigade commander with a tank at a time convenient to him. He also injured his legs.

“Medvedev, who is currently in Belarus at a hospital, has been given the Order of Courage.” According to him, the Colonel was awaiting payment.

Although there was no evidence to support the claims, a video by Ramzan Kadyrov (a Chechen leader and close ally to Vladimir Putin) allegedly shows Medvedev being taken by medical personnel to Belarus.

One Chechen fighter – who are fighting under the Russian National Guard and directly under Putin’s control – told him: ‘Hold on…how are you? OK? Talk to us…

Medvedev responded: “I’m okay. Where’re you from?”

After being told by the colonel to continue wearing his bulletproof jacket, he was unloaded from a stretcher with blankets over his legs.

Tsimbalyuk has not said what happened to the soldier driving a tank. But, it follows other reports suggesting low morale within Putin’s forces that have been slowing progress in Ukraine.

NATO reported Wednesday that from 7000 to 15,000 Russian troops had been killed in the war in Ukraine. This was despite the fact that Russia’s soldiers are fighting hard against the fast-moving defenses of Ukraine. Moscow has not achieved the victory it wanted.

Moscow lost roughly 15,000 Afghan soldiers over a period of 10 years.

Senior NATO military officials stated that the NATO alliance was built on data from Ukrainian officials and information gathered from open sources. NATO rules allow for anonymity.

A swift overthrow of Ukraine’s elected government appeared likely after Russia launched its invasion on February 24, in Europe’s largest offensive since World War II.

Russia’s military campaign is dragging on, with four weeks worth of fighting.

Putin’s ground forces have been repeatedly stopped or slowed down by Ukrainian hit-and run units equipped with Western weapons. Putin’s troops continue to bombard targets from far away, reverting back to the same tactics used for razing cities in Syria and Chechnya.

Russia is not providing much information about its casualties. It stated March 2, that almost 500 soldiers were killed and nearly 1,600 others had been wounded.

However, a NATO official said today that 30,000 to 40,000 Russian soldiers are estimated to have been killed or wounded.

Ukraine asserts that six Russian generals have been killed. Russia has only one confirmed general.

NATO’s figures represent NATO’s initial public estimation of Russian casualties from the conflict.

American officials have largely refused to release public estimates for casualties in Russia or Ukraine, claiming that the information available is not reliable.

Russia must work hard to subdue dissent, and boost morale as the casualties mount.

The government has taken thousands of protesters to the streets and shut down media outlets.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Anatoly Chubais, Russia’s highest official, has resigned as a sign of increasing divisions within Russia’s upper echelons.

Chubais is the Russian post-Soviet privatization campaign’s architect. He has held a number of high ranking positions over his career. As Putin’s representative to international agencies, his most recent role was that of Chubais.

Peskov wouldn’t say whether Chubais left the country.

Officials from the West claim that Putin’s forces face serious shortages in food, fuel, and cold-weather gear. This has led to soldiers experiencing frostbite. In contrast, Ukraine’s defenses are more aggressive in preparing for the return of territory lost.

However, Russia has a far more powerful and larger military than Ukraine, so many Western military experts warn against being too optimistic about Ukraine’s prospects in the long term.

Past wars have seen the Kremlin use strikes to flatten cities and kill countless civilians. Millions fled.

Video continues to show that talks are continuing on the end of fighting. Zelensky claimed that talks with Russia are progressing’step at a time’.

Putin running? Russia will now scale back its Ukraine invasion to just ‘liberating’ the eastern Donbas region ‘in an attempt to save face’

Officials from the West today confirmed that Ukraine has dismantled 20 Russian battalions. Meanwhile, a Kremlin chief indicated that Moscow could scale back its aggression on Russia and focus its efforts on liberating eastern Donbas.

Russia’s defense ministry updated its Ukrainian losses to 1,351 soldiers and added that 3,825 were wounded. These figures are significantly lower than Western intelligence estimates, which put Moscow’s losses at the thousands.

In a military update today, Moscow attempted to put a positive spin on its disastrous invasion saying that the first phase of its military campaign in Ukraine was over.

However, the West has claimed that Russia has lost 20 of the 120 battalions that were originally positioned on Ukraine’s frontier. The latest indication that Vladimir Putin has given up on his goals is that the West has updated the situation.

However, despite this apparent shift in tactics, small-scale strikes continued unabated as Russia continues its campaign of bombing against the cities of Ukraine, causing heavy losses and making little progress against key targets.

One attack was reported by Ukraine on Friday. It claimed that a Russian missile strike had struck a central Ukrainian military command center in Vinnytsia. According to Kyiv officials, the attack was reported by Kyiv on Friday. It is not known if there were casualties.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, a missile attack was launched by the Russians on Vinnytsia’s Air Force Command at 4.30 pm.

It uploaded a photo of the supposed centre in rubble. The image stated that missiles had damaged infrastructure and hit “several buildings”.

According to Western officials, Ukraine had disabled 20 Russian battalions. A Kremlin military chief suggested that Moscow might scale back its aggressive attack on Ukraine and focus instead on the ‘liberation’ of eastern Donbas. Russia's defence ministry also updated its losses in Ukraine to 1,351 soldiers, adding that 3,825 soldiers had been wounded - figures that are far lower than Western intelligence estimates that put Moscow's losses in the tens of thousands

Russia’s defense ministry updated its Ukrainian losses to 1,351 soldiers and added that 3,825 were wounded. These figures are much lower than Western intelligence estimates, which put Moscow’s losses at the thousands.

It seemed probable that Ukraine would be toppled quickly after Russia launched its multipronged invasion in February 24.

Russia is stuck in an endless military campaign that has seen no signs of improvement, as Thursday marked the end of four weeks of combat.

Slow Russian advances have taken the Kremlin aback, with Western officials claiming that Moscow had made a catastrophic mistake.

In a potentially significant shift in Moscow’s tactics, Sergei Rudskoi, chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of Russia’s armed forces, said the first phase of its campaign was over and its troops would now focus on the ‘liberation’ of the Donbas region in Ukraine’s east.

Rudskoi said the shift was possible because ‘the combat potential of Ukraine’s armed forces has been significantly reduced which allows (us) – I emphasise once again – to focus our main efforts on achieving the main goal – the liberation of Donbas.’

Russian-speaking areas in eastern Ukraine are the Donbas, where separatists backed by Russia have been fighting Ukrainian forces for over a decade. Many residents support Moscow.

At least 14,000 have died in eight years of conflict.

Rudskoi said that Russian forces had destroyed the air force of Ukraine and its anti-aircraft defences, as well as their navy.

Rudskoi’s statements were however rebutted in the UK and by Britain’s Ministry of Defence. These stated that Russian forces were being challenged.

“Ukrainian counterattacks” and Russian forces falling back upon overextended supply lines have allowed Ukraine to reoccupy towns and defensive posts up to 35 kms (22 mi) east of Kyiv. This was stated by Britain’s defense ministry in a daily report.

A Ukrainian soldier passes by a destroyed Russian artillery system 'Grad', in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Thursday, March 24, 2022. But the update - combined with the West's claim that Russia has lost 20 out of the 120 battalions originally massed on Ukraine's border - is the latest sign that Vladimir Putin has rolled back his ambitions, and is on the run

An unidentified Ukrainian soldier walks past a decommissioned Russian artillery unit ‘Grad’ in Kharkiv (Ukraine), Thursday, March 24, 2022. However, the West is claiming that Russia has lost 20 of the 120 Ukrainian battalions initially deployed on Ukraine’s frontier. The latest indication that Vladimir Putin has given up on his goals is that the West is denying the claim.

In one attack on Friday, Ukraine said a Russian missile attack had hit a military command centre in the city of Vinnytsia in central Ukraine. Kyiv officials reported the attack on Friday, adding it was unknown if there were any casualties. The Ukrainian air force posted an image (pictured) of the alleged centre in rubble and said missiles had hit 'several buildings, causing significant damage to infrastructure'

According to the ministry, logistical difficulties and Ukrainian resistance in the southern part of Russia are holding back the Russians’ attempts at driving west to Odesa.

Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, stated that he would not relent in refusing to submit to Russian demands following what he called’very difficult’ talks with Moscow.

“We insist first of all on a ceasefire. Security guarantees and the territorial integrity for Ukraine.” he stated.

While Mariupol is now in ruins, Western systems such as shoulder-fired anti tank missiles and anti-tank rockets have been able to help Ukraine’s military hold the line and continue their offensive.

Officials from Western countries said Russia’s lack of organization so far is’remarkable. This was in spite of claims Russia had met its main military objectives.

Some areas had suffered losses that were’really severe’, they claimed. The Russian forces had 115 to 120 battalion tactical units. However, 20 battalions weren’t considered ‘combat-effective’ at the beginning and were withdrawn either due to vehicle repairs or large losses.

In certain cases, the redeployment of three battalions was possible by merging two or more.

Russian battalions typically consist of 600-800 officers and soldiers. 200 are infantrymen with approximately 10 tanks and 40 infantry fighting vehicle – like armoured troop carriers – and 200 include infantrymen.

A NATO official estimated on Wednesday that 7,000 to 15,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in four weeks of war in Ukraine, and added that between 30,000 to 40,000 Russian soldiers are estimated to have been killed or wounded in total. Moscow has lost approximately 15,000 Afghan soldiers over the past 10 years.
