After stabbing multiple Oslo residents with a semi-naked knifeman, police shot him dead. This was one year after the crime. He had been sectioned.
The police stated that the victims were’more than one’ and did not provide any details about the condition of those who had been injured. Late in the morning, a news conference was scheduled.
In order to stop an attacker, a police car from the Bislett area of Oslo drove into a building.
Torgeir Brenden, a police spokesperson said that he then attacked the vehicle and was able to unlock the door.
The man was hit with a number of shots, however Brenden didn’t specify if the officers inside the vehicle opened fire. Brenden stated that the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
The knifeman was convicted in December 2020 for another semi-naked knife attack in Grunerlokka, Oslo, and was sectioned.
