Serial killer Joanna Dennehy told her prison fiancée she was a ‘fully committed psychopath’ in a harrowing love letter.

Dennehy (39), was sentenced to 10 days in prison for the murders of three men over a 10-day period. Hayley Palmer was Dennehy’s street robber while they were behind bars.

They were both held in HMP Bronzefield (privately-run) in Middlesex. After being released, the pair split and moved to separate prisons.

Palmer, who is now a free woman after serving 16 years, has opened up about their romance with the killer, revealing Dennehy had ‘no regrets’ and would ‘laugh’ about her crimes.

Dennehy, in a Sunday Sun letter, wrote that he was a completely committed psychopath.

“Together, we will follow a path that is so dark and so dangerous mentally and physically we will never know where we begin or end.”

Mother-of-2 Dennehy is the only woman in Britain currently serving a full-life sentence. Rose West is the other.

Three men were killed by her stabbing attack. The bodies of the victims she left behind in ditches near Peterborough. She then moved to Hereford and knifed two additional men.

Dennehy first victim was Lukasz Slaboszewski (31), a Polishman who believed Dennehy to be his girlfriend.

With suggestive words, she lured him into a house and then attacked his heart.

Dennehy, then 56, used a pocket knife and stabbed John Chapman once in the neck.

Dennehy was a serial killer and is serving a whole life sentence. She’s one of just two women currently in that position.

Kevin Lee, her 48-year-old landlord was her third victim. She lured him with promises of sexual favors.

In her excitement at the prospect of being arrested for her, Robin Bereza stabbed Robin Bereza. This happened in Hereford on April 2, 2013. John Rogers was also stabbed by her nine-minutes later.

Both men survived and Dennehy was caught after two days on the run.

Palmer said that she laughed about the situation, and didn’t regret anything.

Palmer met the killer at HMP Bronzefield but were later moved to separate prisons, with Palmer going to HMP East Sutton Park in Kent while Dennehy now resides in HMP Low Newton in Durham.

In May 2021, friends told the Mirror Palmer was seeking legal advice on arranging the wedding to Dennehy despite her life tariff for murdering three men.

It’s an odd relationship. The friend said that although it was strange to admit, they seemed good for one another.

“Hayley talks about Joanna as if she were her high school sweetheart. They speak every day, and both are fully committed to getting married.

Hayley joked that the couple wouldn’t allow Joanna to cut the cake at their wedding because they don’t have any other way.

The couple reportedly wanted to be married by the end of the year – however Dennehy is said to have broken off contact with Palmer two months ago.

Dennehy was raised in a safe family home in the Home Counties and carried out her horrible attacks in order to satisfy her’sadistic passion for blood’.

An Old Bailey witness said that the killer was motivated by’sexuality and sadness’.

She later told a psychiatrist that she had killed herself to feel the cold, and to find out if it was true. It got worse.

Experts say Dennehy wanted notoriety, and she was desperate to make her victims feel humiliated through sex. Dennehy boasted to having killed four people before she committed the crimes.

Police launched an investigation into the murder of three people after they were discovered.

Dennehy and Gary Stretch then set out to find more murderers as they scoured the streets of Hereford.

She said to him, “I want to have fun.”

Randomly, Robin Bereza (64), and John Rogers (56) were chosen by the pair as dog walkers.

Dennehy attacked them with a frenzied knife attack and stabbed them. They were both saved by quick medical attention.

Dennehy took photographs with a big serrated knife while searching for other victims. Stretch praised Dennehy for being ‘like Bonnie & Clyde’ who killed nine policemen in America in the 1930s.

LUKASZ SLABOSZEWSKI

In 2005, the 31-year old moved from Poland to the UK to start work at a DHL warehouse near Peterborough.

Cambridge Crown Court heard that at the time he died, he was receiving methadone for heroin addiction.

After meeting Joanna Dennehy the day before, he was last seen leaving his Lincoln Road home on March 19, 2013. Friends told him he’d found an “English girlfriend”.

His death is believed to have occurred in Rolleston Garth, or shortly thereafter.

Dennehy buried his body in a bin in the back of his truck for several more days, before throwing it into a Thorney Dyke ditch with John Chapman. A farmer found their bodies on April 3.

Magda Skrzypczak’s sister Magda Skrzypczak released a statement after her brother’s death. She said that “Lukasz was a joker and always found something to smile about.” Magda Skrzypczak, his sister, said that her dad and mum are still devastated and left two sisters.

JOHN CHAPMAN

The 56-year old, originally from Leeds had previously served as a Navy officer in the Falkland War.

The jury heard that he was struggling financially. The court was told that he was an alcoholic, but was known for being a “friendly drunk”. The same bedits that Dennehy lived in were Mr Chapman’s in Bifield and Orton Goldhay.

The court heard that Dennehy was described by him as a’manwoman’ who worked as an enforcer for landlord Kevin Lee. His friends and family were worried about his safety while she tried to make him move out.

Dennehy had previously stabbed Dennehy in the heart. He killed him at his home on March 29, 2009. Leslie Layton found a photograph of his corpse, taken at 7.32am on that day.

On April 3, Mr Chapman’s corpse was discovered alongside Mr Slaboszewski. The family of John Chapman released the following statement: “We are all shocked and so sad by the tragic loss John.”

“He was a caring brother, uncle and brother in laws. His friends and family loved him deeply and will miss him.

Kevin Lee, 48 years old, was found murdered in Peterborough.

KEVIN LEE

With Christina, their children and the wife he was married, the 48-year old lived in Fletton.

Prosecutors said he ran Quick Let, a property company that specialized in providing bedsits for people with ‘limited resources.

Paul Creed was Dennehy’s business partner. He told Dennehy that Dennehy had approached him for accommodation. Although Mr Creed was reluctant to give her shelter, Mr Lee said he wanted to give her a chance.

According to the court, Mr Lee employed Dennehy in later years as a decorator or enforcer. His wife was informed by the court that Lee had confessed to Dennehy on March 20.

He gave Dennehy an egg card nine days later on Good Friday. The next day, she phoned him and set up a meeting at Rolleston Garth. This is where Mr Slaboszewski died.

On March 30, Mr Lee’s corpse was discovered by a dog walker near Middle Road in Newborough. The family released a statement saying that Kevin was a great husband, father and brother.

“His natural infectious personality was a gift that touched every person who had the pleasure of knowing him. His family, friends, and loved ones will all miss him.
