After a suspicious package in the security area was discovered, Stansted Airport had to be evacuated.
Passengers who were flying from Stansted Airport were evacuated partially from Terminal 1 at 1pm this afternoon.
Shortly thereafter, all passengers and staff were asked not to remain in the building and were directed to stand on the street at front of airport.
Many have missed their flights because the flight information on the screens has not been updated.
Essex Police are handling the response.
