The man was followed to the shore by the hungry alligator seeking an afternoon meal

The hungry alligator, looking for an afternoon meal, followed the man to the shore.

He stated to local media: “A man entered water around 4:40pm and began swimming in the spot, where entry is prohibited.”

The man spotted the alligator speeding across the water, about 30 metres from shore.

The man turned toward the shore, and tried to swim back as quick as possible.

Mr Caetano stated that an alligator suddenly began following him. He tried to swim fast to escape, but the alligator reached him and landed a brutal bite on his arm. The man emerged from the water bleeding and scared and said he didn’t know there were alligators.

Garapeira marinalva da Silva, a sugarcane juice stand owner overlooking the lake, was a second witness and said that this is the first time in five year she has seen anyone enter water.

Campo Grande News was told by him that children sometimes go there. But then we tell them that there’s an alligator, and that it’s filthy, and they return.

Amazingly, the man was freed from the deadly predator.
