The Wolf of Wall Street has become a team.

Jordan Belfort, 59, the disgraced former stockbroker whose fall rags-to-riches-to-jail tale became the screen hit Wolf of Wall Street reportedly married his model girlfriend during a private wedding in Las Vegas. 

The twice-married ex-con exchanged vows with Argentinian model Christina Invernizzi in front of family and friends in a small ceremony in Sin City in February, sources told Page Six Saturday.

The newlyweds, who had been dating for two years, reportedly moved from Los Angeles to Miami, where they were recently seen at the Les Couleurs Charity event in Le Rouge in the Wynwood neighborhood, a source told Page Six. 

The source said that Jordan surprised the audience by introducing Cristina his new wife.

The couple had been together for two years before the reported nuptials 

Invernizzi bought a ‘painting by a young artist’ at the October 20th event for an undisclosed price, she announced via social media.  

Belfort, who spoke at this event, said that his wife had told him about the charity. 

“She’s really responsible, for bringing me here. This cause was amazing to me when I first heard about it. 

Education is what lifts people up in any society, country, or community that is not privileged. The Wolf of Wall Street stated that education is the foundation of all things.   

The charity event was in support of the CREATE program, a four-year comprehensive art and music, craft, and dance initiative in Haiti, Mexico, for mostly orphaned and less fortunate children. 

Invernizzi posted videos to her Instagram page. Some of them showed photos of children, including one little girl, who told the event organizer that she wanted to be a chef. The organization gifted her a cookbook.  

Belfort was also seen in Miami one month before he announced his move. He was seen with Drake while he was dining. 

The pair dined separately at Carbone, the most talked-about Italian restaurant in the last decade’ according to the website. They were there in September to celebrate Drake’s new album Certified Lover Boy.

DiCaprio played Belfort in 2013’s movie, The Wolf of Wall Street. Belfort pleaded guilty to money laundering in 1999 and was sentenced in 1999 to four years imprisonment and a $110 million fine. He was sentenced to 22 months. 

They joked that they were the werewolves of Miami’, which Belfort captioned the Instagram photo. 

According to Page Six: The ‘wolves’ as Drake called them ate separately on calamari (bronzini), ribeye steaks, lobster ravioli and others pasta dishes before they were introduced by mutual friends. 

According to reports, the couple stayed in the restaurant for hours talking.

After releasing his memoir entitled “The Wolf of Wall Street”, Belfort was able to make the name of himself the Wolf of Wall Street, a term he had created for himself. This was three years after his release from prison.  

The multimillionaire and former Wall Street stockbroker, who made his millions defrauding investors of up to $200million, pleaded guilty to securities fraud and money laundering in 1999 and was sentenced to four years in prison in 2003. 

He only served 22 months at the Taft Correctional Institution in California and was personally fined $110million. 

His company Stratton Oakmont participated in ‘pump-and-dump schemes’ to artificially inflate the price of penny stocks. After the National Association of Securities Dealers had pursued them legally, the company was forced to close down in 1996. 

After the movie with the same title, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and his story, it became very popular in 2013. 

DiCaprio won the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globes for the movie in 2014, among a few other awards. 

Belfort now works in motivational speaking.
