Three of four quadruplets are following in the footsteps of their mother by working in NHS.
Anjel, Aneetta, and Aleena Shibu Matew graduated from University of Suffolk on Thursday. They are now fully qualified nurses at Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge.
Joby Shibu Mathew, the mother of the 21-year-old quads, is a nurse at Ipswich Hospital. She lives just one hour from three of her daughters’ workplaces.
Celebration: Anjel Anjel and Aleena graduated as nurses from University of Suffolk in celebration. They followed their mother’s steps.
The three sisters are now qualified nurses at the Royal Papworth Hospital.
At their graduation ceremony, the sisters were joined by Anesha, fourth in the quad, a qualified physiotherapist.
Anjel is in a cardiology ward, Aneetta is in a cardiac surgery ward, and Aleena works in a sleeping study ward.
Anesha, the fourth sister in the quad was a physiotherapist at University of East Anglia in Norwich. She now works in Kettering in Northamptonshire.
She was there to support her three siblings as they graduated.
Aleena stated that she asked permission to wear her gown when my mother graduated from the University of Suffolk as a nurse.

She said, “One day you will get there as well.” So today, I have achieved that milestone.
“It’s a challenging course, but you get a lot out of it. We were all happy to be able to go together to the same university.
Anjel said ‘I feel amazing. It’s been a long journey to get here. It’s great to be with everyone today. It’s an exciting day celebrating my sisters.
Aneetta stated, “I had my sisters beside me throughout which made a huge difference.”

The quadruplets’ mother had been working as a nurse in Oman when she fell pregnant naturally with the non-identical quadruplets
“They were there to support me mentally and through all my work, especially when I reflect back at the end.
The Shibu Mathew family is originally from Kerala in southern India, where all four of their daughters were born in 2000.
Joby and Shibu, Joby’s husband, moved to the UK 2007 and their daughters in 2008.

Mum said: “I completed my nursing degree at India and worked for a while in India and the Middle East.
“After moving to the UK I had to finish my nursing education again between 2014-2017, and I was offered a job as an oncology nurse at Ipswich Hospital.”
She stated that her daughters were proud of her for getting a degree despite all the difficulties of raising children and being a mother.
