After being struck by an automobile near a primary school, in Scotland, three children were injured and a young girl was taken to the hospital.
At 3.10pm on Wednesday, several police units and ambulance crews raced to the scene in Carluke, Clydesdale.
Pictures of the scene show investigators taking out a blue-and-purple rucksack, its contents littered across the street, while a Fiat 500 in a lighter colour was left in middle of the road while police checked its interior.
The woman is in her 20s, while the age and gender of the children are not known. However, two schools – Kirkton Primary or St Athanasius Primary – are within a short distance from the crash site.
They are currently not being reported as being in hospital.
The horror smash happened on Carluke’s main road. A police cordon immediately closed the scene.

The road was closed from outside an Aldi, while traffic was diverted along Glamis Avenue or James Street.
Mairi McAllan MSP for Clydesale said: ‘I am deeply concerned about reports from Carluke today.
“My team reached out to police offering our support.”
“I want thank the emergency services for arriving on the scene. In the meantime, I am praying for good news that no one has been seriously injured.
Motherwell Road Policing Unit Inspector William Broatch said that around 3.10pm, police were called at James Street in Carluke, near the intersection with Kirkton Street. This was following a report about a road accident involving a car, four pedestrians, a woman, and three children.
“All the pedestrians are being taken to hospital for treatment.

“Emergency services are still on the scene, and local diversions remain in place.
“Anyone with information about the incident can call 101, quoting incident 2101 of 27 October.
The spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service stated that they received a call at 3.07pm to respond to an incident on Kirkton Street in Carluke and dispatched 10 resources.
“One woman in her twenties and three of her children were transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.
‘We’ve dispatched 10 resources to the scene & the incident is still ongoing.’
