Tiger Woods posted video showing him striking golf balls the first time after his February car accident. This has sparked hopes for a return to the game.
Nine months ago, the legendary golfer was in an accident that left both of his legs broken in Los Angeles. He has not been seen since.
While updates have not been frequent on his condition and recovery, it appears that he is now well enough for him to hit the ground running again.
Tiger Woods uploaded a video showing him hitting the ball for the first times since February, when he was involved in a car accident.
Even though he’s wearing a protective cast to his right leg, his signature swing is intact
Woods shared a video with his Instagram followers of 2.7 million. The caption was: “Making Progress”, and it has received more than 850,000 likes, almost 9,000 comments, and nearly 850,000 shares.
This clip features the 45-year old sporting a protective cast over his right leg but maintaining that smooth swing.
American icons have been missing since the crash. However, he was seen last month as he watched his son play. It was an encouraging sight for those who love the sport.
Woods fractured both of his legs during the horrific incident (above) that occurred in Woods’ SUV in Los Angeles, February.
Erica, his girlfriend photographed him walking with no crutches. This suggests that he can now enjoy at least some quality of life. It was the first thing on Erica’s wishlist after the horrifying photos of the crash.
Although golf fans have heard about the inspirational role he played behind the scenes at the Ryder Cup and seen some nostalgic pictures about the 25th anniversary of his first victory on tour in Las Vegas, seeing him play is encouraging.
However, it would be an ominous sign regarding any foreseeable prospect of a return to tournament play if he wasn’t able to make it back before his 46th birthday.
