In his first interview, Tiger Woods revealed that he will never be able play full-time again after a life-threatening accident in February. However, the 15-time major winner wants to “pick and choose” a few events each year.

  • Since February, Tiger Woods was in a car accident and hasn’t played golf since.
  • Los Angeles Horror Incident: The star, 45 years old, broke both legs during the incident.
  • He revealed that he is not interested in a return full-time to pro golf.
  • He insists that he’ll continue playing on tour during his recovery, but he won’t stop doing so.

Tiger Woods said that while he cannot return to full-time professional golf after a serious car accident, he will continue playing in tournaments as part of his rehabilitation.

Woods shared his thoughts on the sport’s progress, one week after posting an image on Twitter showing him hitting balls from a range.

Following the accident that resulted in a single vehicle, the 45 year-old needed to have surgery to repair open fractures on his right lower leg. Additional injuries were sustained to his ankle and foot.

Woods, who had just completed an incredible recovery after back surgery and won his 15th major championship at the Masters 2019, dismissed any possibility of another title. He told Golf Digest that he doesn’t need to play against some of the most talented players to enjoy a good life.

After my back surgery, I needed to ascend Mount Everest one last time. It was something I needed to do, so I did it.

“This time, I don’t believe I’ll be able to climb Mount Everest. That’s okay. You can still play golf. You can, provided your leg feels good, still play in the game of golf.

“But I do not believe that climbing up the mountain and reaching the summit is a realistic goal for me.

“I believe it is possible to play the tour one-day – not full-time ever again. But pick and choose like Ben Hogan. You can pick and choose which events you want to attend each year, and then play with them.

Woods, who was travelling almost double the legal speed limit at the time he crashed into a tree, had to spend weeks in hospital before he was able to return to Florida. There, he still needs extensive rehabilitation.

Woods said, “It has been a helluva road. It’s been long and sore, but I am making really positive steps.”

The Major winner posted a video of him hitting balls for the first time since February last week

Major winner, David Lee posted this video showing him striking the balls for his first time since February.

“I’ve experienced some tough times and setbacks, but everything seems to be moving well overall. Although I wish that I had the ability to accomplish all of my goals, I am not there yet.

Woods said that he was afraid that his injuries would cause him to lose one of his legs.

Woods will hold Tuesday’s first press conference following the tragedy at Hero World Challenge in Albany.

He cautioned that his return to the public eye should not be taken as an indication of his next comeback.

Woods added, “I still have a long way to go. I am not at the halfway mark.”

‘I can do so much more in muscle development and nerve growth than what I need to do for my leg. I have had five back operations. As the leg becomes stronger, the back can sometimes act up. It’s hard.

Woods is scheduled to hold his first press conference since the accident at the Hero World Challenge event (seen at the 2018 tournament) on Tuesday, which he is hosting
