An Extinction Rebellion activist who has previously gone topless at protests has stripped off at Downing Street in a desperate bid to ‘save the planet’.
Laura Amherst, 31, from Brighton, travelled to the gates of the Prime Minister’s home wearing nothing but knee-high rainbow socks and a pair of trainers to encourage the government to set a target of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2025.
The mother-of-1 went on a hunger strike earlier in the month, telling her social media followers she would not eat until Boris Johnson addressed her group’s demands about climate change.
Laura carried two placards along with her to No 10 in order to cover her modesty and demand the “naked truth” at Downing Street on Thursday afternoon.

Laura, who has the nickname Climate Tits, has gained an online following for appearing topless at Extinction Rebellion marches.
She also created an OnlyFans page, and pledged to donate 75 percent of her earnings from topless content to Extinction Rebellion and Greenpeace as well as an animal rescue charity.
She expected to make around £18,000 last month on the page.
The student has called her 23,000 Instagram followers, to support the group’s demands for climate change.
Her key messages were to encourage the government’s goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2020 and to address animal farming.
A video of her at her gates shows her approaching security officers, explaining that what she is doing is ‘not against the law’ and that she is ‘trying save the world’.
Jam Press reported that she was threatened by them, telling her she was breaking the law and harming children.

Brighton’s mother-of-1 previously stated that she felt it was necessary to do more to ensure the future of her child and that she was willing to die for this cause.
Posting on Instagram, she said she was unable to share the images on social media as she worried that they would be removed for breaking guidelines, but she felt compelled to take another stand.
She stated that despite taking drastic measures in wartime and in Covid to prevent extinction, they were not sufficient. This is an EMERGENCY. What is the best way to get people to wake-up and do what is needed?
Laura spoke to her social media followers on Thursday afternoon and said she would like to host a new London climate show, asking the public questions about climate change.
She stated that she had previously said, “I need this video to go viral because its one of the most crucial videos of all time with the most valuable information in it.”
“It affects everyone and if we don’t do something, then we will all die.”
“We really must do this. I’m willing and able to risk my life in order to get this message across to Boris.
