Nick Fletcher, Tory MP and photographer was caught posting the exact same selfie the third time in order to promote a visit to his constituency after local residents noticed Christmas trees.
On his Facebook Page, the South Yorkshire MP for Don Valley posted a photo that he claimed was from Thorne near Doncaster.
But, constituents noticed Christmas lights and trees in the background of the photograph, even though no decorations had been installed in this area.
He posted the selfie that shows him smiling on social media twice in the last year. This led to accusations from residents of him posing as a visitor.

Following constituents realizing that he took the same selfie in December 2020 as in September this year, the MP offered an apology.
The 49-year-old Mr Fletcher quickly apologized for his error, claiming that he had “forgotten” to take photos during the visit and instead used an older photo.
The MP, who won the seat from Labour in 2019, posted the picture on Wednesday with the caption: ‘Great to spend the afternoon in Thorne. After a difficult year, it is great to see the area thriving once again.
He was seen posing in front of a row shops with Christmas trees visible.

Josephine Mckeague responded to the post with: “Obviously not the brightest lamp on street” (pun intended). Is it Christmas lights that are still lit from last year? Nick?
One resident asked: “How can Xmas trees be up when they’re not up after 12th?”
After a quick statement, the MP thanked confused constituents.
Mr Fletcher said: ‘Having spent the afternoon walking round Thorne with a local business man and calling at a local café for a coffee, I forgot to take a photo.
“This is not my first attempt at reusing a photo after forgetting to take it and I don’t think this will be the last.”
Also, he amended his Facebook posting, saying: “Apologies. I forgot to take photos on my walks about.”
‘Will make sure I take one when I’m back again next week. I look forward to seeing all of you soon.
