‘I don’t even work here!’ Following a mistake by security guards, Barclays’ Bank locked two women inside the bank’s vault. They took a TikTok tour through the’really lovely’ Manchester branch.

Following a mistaken lockdown, guards forced two female captives in Barclays’ Bank to take TikTok Tour of the Manchester Branch. 

Sarah Agbiji was with her friend Renita Ruta when the pair got locked in a Barclays bank for two hours in Market Street, Manchester city centre on Saturday evening.

They were filmed in the branch and the video has been posted to TikTok. The clip garnered over 3.6million hits.

During the video, Sarah, who lives in Manchester, can be heard shouting to passersby, who were doing the Christmas shopping, outside that they needed help

Manchester’s freelance make-up artist can often be heard shouting out to people outside who are doing Christmas shopping.

Sarah shouts “We were locked in the Bank!” This is not where you work.   

Barclays was then called and she said, “How can you let people go?” How is this security breach possible?

After the video cuts, she calls Greater Manchester Police. She claims that they had booked the couple and were then locked inside by security.

She says, “They just asked me what was happening.” The booking was made and the staff went and locked everything.

Barclays security got in touch with them and can be heard telling a man: “We obviously want to get you out of there as soon possible.”

“The alarms will attempt to go off at 9:00 a.m., but we’ll do our best to get you out by then.”

“All that we can do to apologise for this is all we can do. It is our goal to resolve it for you. We will keep you informed.

Sarah laughed and said, “We’re really hungry. Can they bring food?”

The pair waited inside the branch for two hours until a worker arrived with a key

The man said, “We will deliver a pizza to you.”

She replied, “My friend cannot eat cheese. 

Sarah also film a tour of her bank. She also uploaded it to TikTok, where she received more than 12,000 views.

“We forgot upstairs,” she added. It’s a very nice Barclays.

Sarah joked that they didn’t have any food and arrived at the end of the two-hour waiting period.

Sarah said, “Oh my God! Yes yes!” We’re outside Barclays Bye.

Barclays was approached to comment.
