Utah dad-of-six died in an accident while skiing. Powder from the snow machine had covered his eyes, and blinded him. He crashed into a bank.

Lee Draper (55), was visiting the Brighton Ski Resort when he sustained a severe brain injury in the accident that eventually cost him his life.

Draper’s children spoke to ABC4 and said their father’s two major passions in life were the outdoors and his children, who range in age from 18 to 38.

‘He was the greatest man I knew and the world had lost something great by his passing,’ Lee’s oldest son, Tom Draper, told the station.

The 38-year old son said that his father would do anything to help anyone and would also give all he had for his family.

He added, “He was everything.”

Draper’s children stated that Draper was physically fit and healthy throughout his life so that he could share the joy of living with them.

Draper’s youngest son Moses (18 years old) said, “He explained to me that the main reason he kept fit his whole life was so he could be with us and do things for us.

Moses was at Salt Lake City with his father, Moses when he went on the Majestic Run at Brighton Resort. It is located approximately 30 miles southwest of Salt Lake City.

Moses claimed that he almost crashed when a snowblower blocked his vision. However, Moses’ father wasn’t so fortunate.

Moses replied, “I tried to check my pulse but my hands was so cold it made it kind of difficult to feel”

According to the station, Moses said that his father wanted to cancel his skiing trip but decided to continue with plans to spend some time with his kids.

Moses cried as he said, “He called at 6:30 and told me that we’re going skiing, and he was so excited.”
