A woman who took a herbal supplement so she can breast feed her fiancé has said she feels ‘sexier with her milk back’ – but insisted critics are wrong to claim they are sexualising ‘breastfeeding’.

Lana Michaels, who is originally from Edinburgh but now lives in Spain with her partner, Shawn, appeared on This Morning today to discuss her decision to start lactating and breastfeeding her fiancé twice a week.

The mother of two recalled how she used to want to lactate again in order to feel’sexier, more womanly’. Shawn suggested that she’suckle her 34D breasts’.

The couple, who appeared last week on Channel 4’s Breastfeeding My Boyfriend, stated that they felt a really cool connection’ and that it felt completely natural, and normal’.

Holly Willoughby, Holly’s copresenter, said that critics suggested that Shawn and Holly are sexualizing breastfeeding. Shawn’s parents were not believed to be supportive.

Recalling how she met Shawn on a vegan dating app, Lana said: ‘It was so special. I would not normally travel on a plane to meet him.

Speaking about her decision to take herbal milk supplements, Lana said: ‘I just wanted to get my milk back because I’d always felt sexier and more womanly with my milk, and I thought Shawn suckling it would help.’

Shawn said, “When it started, it felt different.” It’s not something everyone does. We tried it because we are open-minded. It felt natural and quite natural. The bonding that you feel is amazing.

Holly suggested that critics were annoyed by the duo’s sexualisation of breastfeeding.

Lana was quick to reply, saying: ‘I know where they are coming from but I think it doesn’t sexualize breastfeeding because in general breasts have always been sexualised.

“That’s why they’re covered up most of the time, so that they always have been. [And]Public breastfeeding is more accepted than ever.

Lana said her family is ‘really accepting of it and they support it’, while Shawn admitted his family is ‘getting there’.

He stated, “They’re getting there. They need to mature the idea. And I think interviews like these are going to help normalize the situation.”

Lana said she’s had positive reactions since the documentary aired, saying: ‘A lot of people have said they wish they could be more open. It’s difficult for them to openly discuss their desire to do this.

‘Lots of women contacted us to see how we get the process going. They realise it is something they want to do too.’

Co-presenter Philip Schofield asked the couple if they used Lana’s breastmilk for ‘cornflakes or in the coffee’, to which Shawn replied: ‘It just goes straight into my mouth.’

Three days after Lana had taken the health supplement, she saw the first droplet of milk. Shawn followed suit to get the liquid flowing.  The couple have previously praised their breastfeeding habit for its nutritious value.

She explained to The Sun that she breastfed her children and really misses the feeling of breastfeeding. “I don’t want another baby, and my children are too old to breastfeed now, but I liked the idea to breastfeed with Shawn.

The couple who experimented with the idea after being in a foursome with a different couple also claimed it builds up positive “physical energy” between them before things get sexy in the bedroom.

Lana, who breastfed her eldest son, 11, for eight months and daughter, seven, for two years, said she has gone up from a 34C to a 34D since breastfeeding her fiancé.

The couple, who have had sex five times per week, explained that they have an open relationship and like trying new things in the bedroom.

Shaun said, “I had been sucking on another woman when I felt milk in my mouth.” “That sparked the sexual idea that breast milk was associated with sex, and it went from there.”

Lana said that breastfeeding not only makes her breasts bigger and fuller, but also makes her feel more feminine and sexier when she’s stuffed with milk.

Shawn said that the process is’relaxing” for him and that it’s perfect when there’s a physical connection.

Shawn said that he doesn’t care if their breastfeeding habits aren’t normal and that they get a lot of compliments about them.

He added: ‘I think breastfeeding as adults is still seen as a taboo as we suppose adults should not be doing that. They feel it may not be necessary but the milk is very nutritious and made for us. Lana’s milk is delicious.
