The BBC has shared a first glimpse at Claire Foy & Paul Bettany in A Very British Scandal.

The drama series will focus on the couple’s divorce in 1960s.

Foy will portray Margaret Campbell, Duchess Argyll. Margaret Campbell was a famous figure for her charisma, beauty, style and style. Foy’s portrayal of Margaret Campbell is a dramatic one. The BBC team behind A Very English Scandal (starring Hugh Grant and Ben Whishaw) will create the show.

The 37-year old actress played Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown’s initial two seasons. This series won her the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in Drama Series in 2018.

She is joined by Bettany, who starred as Vision in WandaVision and Avengers: Infinity War, who will play her husband Ian Campbell, 11th Duke of Argyll, while Gavin & Stacey star Julia Davis will portray Maureen, Marchioness of Dufferin and Ava.

Amanda Drew, Phoebe Nicholls (Camilia Rutherford), Phoebe Nicholls (Camilia Rutherford), Timothy Renouf and Sophia Myles are also part of the cast.

Miles Jupp, Oliver Chris, Nicholas Rowe, Jonathan Aris and Richard Goulding will also star.

The series’ three-part format will be written by Sarah Phelps who also wrote The Pale Horse And Then There Were None. It will be directed by Anne Sewitsky (Norwegian filmmaker).

The series will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in Britain. It will also be available on Amazon Prime Video in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
