Anna Wintour is now a grandmother for a third time, after her daughter Bee Shaffer, who gave birth to Oliver Sozzani, her first child with Francesco Carrozzini.

The proud mother of a newborn baby boy, 34, shared her happy news on Instagram on Wednesday. She posted several images of her baby boy and revealed that her son arrived on Oct 25.

Oliver is shown in one photo wearing his hospital blanket and cap, while the other photos show Oliver at home, wearing a sweet knitted hat and matching brown pants.

Oliver’s middle surname, Sozzani serves as a touching tribute for his paternal grandmother Francesco Sozzani, who died in December 2016 from lung cancer at the age of 65.

The post of the new mother received a flood of congratulatory comments from a number her celebrity friends, including Sarah Jessica Parker (Sex and the City) who wrote: ‘Wow !!!! Got the chills !!!!!!! I’m so happy for you all. Xxx

Katy Perry also joined the celebration of Oliver’s birth, remarking that she shares her birthday with Francesco and Bee’s newborn son.

“Omg, I love my birthday twin.” Congratulations, wrote the chart-topper.

Bee, who has been working behind the scenes on Broadway for several year, was also sent sweet messages by musical stars such as Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen) and Josh Groban (Singer).

Unsurprisingly, many high-profile fashion personalities were quick to share their congratulations in comments, including Zac Posen, Joseph Altuzarra and Jennifer Meyer – Jennifer Meyer is the jewelry designer ex-wife actor Tobey Maguire.

Bee’s new arrival comes almost four months after it was first revealed that she was expecting her first child with Francesco – who she married in two wedding ceremonies in July 2018, the first at her mother’s sprawling Long Island home and the second in her husband’s hometown of Portofino, Italy.

Francesco and Bee’s source first shared the news. Bee was pictured showing off her baby bump on a romantic trip in Portofino just days after the news was first reported.

Bee was seen on numerous occasions with her growing stomach. However, Bee didn’t confirm her pregnancy until several week later when she posted an Instagram silhouette of her bump with a caption. The caption included a blue heart and a caption informing that she was expecting.

Her baby bump was then on full display at the Met Gala in September. She was seen looking radiant in a bright, turquoise gown that highlighted her baby bump.

Bee was not able to attend the event with her husband, but she did have some good company in the shape of Charles Shaffer and Elizabeth Cordry (her brother and wife), who have two daughters together, Ella & Caroline.

Anna, 71 years old, was also present at this event, which she hosts every other year but was postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic.

Although Vogue editor-in chief has yet to comment publicly on the arrival her newest grandchild, it’s likely that Oliver, her touching middle name, will have been meaningful to her, given her close friendship to Francesco’s mother Franca. Franca was the editor-in–chief at Vogue Italia from her death.

Francesco and Bee first met through Anna and Franca as children. They formed a friendship which eventually led to a romance in 2016, when rumors about their relationship began to surface.

The two began to speculate about their relationship when they attended a screening of Francesco’s documentary about Francesco’s mother in October 2016.

Francesco and Bee announced their engagement in March 2017. This was two months before Francesco, the bride-to-be, wore her ring on the Met Gala red carpet.

They were married on July 7, at Anna’s Long Island residence. Then they flew to Italy the next day from New York to marry again in Portofino.

For both ceremonies, Bee donned a white dress, although she chose a different design for each wedding location, wowing in a classic silhouette to say her first ‘I do’, then opting for a more summer-friendly Dolce & Gabbana alternative for her second time tying the knot.

Details of both weddings were kept secret. Bee chose not to publish her nuptials in her mother’s magazine as many high-society brides did in the past.

It is understood that Anna and the couple had a strict no-social-media rule at their weddings. These rules are similar to Anna’s at the Met Gala. However, these restrictions have become increasingly lax in recent years.

Francesco and Bee have tried to keep their private lives under the radar for three years. In the three years since their marriage, the latter has only shared a few photos of her husband on social media. This includes a funny photo of him working it up for the camera that she posted on his 38th Birthday last September.
