A shocking video shows a fight on a Los Angeles-bound flight. The incident occurred before take-off from Georgia. The man who had placed something in his seatback pocket was charged at another passenger.
Curtis Maurice Clayton (30), from South Carolina was arrested at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport after he started the fight with German Montez (43), police said.
During his detention, he damaged a police car.
The cellphone footage shows a man in black punching a shorter man wearing a light-blue jacket. Luckily, flight attendants intervened and separated them.
The black jacketed man touches his left eye with his hand, which is black and bloody. Both men were unmasked.
The Delta Airline flight was delayed for 30 minutes, and passengers watched in horror as two men scuffled down the aisle.

“I’ve already missed a whole plane…Oh my god. It’s literally f****** six am. Who is fighting at six o’clock in the morning? Before the video ends, one of the angry passengers becomes frustrated with the flight.
Atlanta Police stated in a statement that Clayton was not cooperative with police and damaged a vehicle during the investigation.
Clayton was arrested and charged with battery and interference in government property. Bond has not yet been set.
Storyful was told by Delta that officers had’responded’ to an unruly passenger during the boarding process.
The statement also stated that: “Civility at our airfields and on our flights, is paramount and something our customers and employees deserve without exception…Delta always puts safety and security first.”
This incident is the latest in a disturbing spike of passengers disrupting flights across the nation.

Federal Aviation Authority stated in August that it had issued more $1 million in fines for unruly passengers in 2021. They also revealed that there have already been over 5,000 unruly reports this year.
A flight bound for California was forced to land in Denver earlier this week after one of its passengers attacked a flight attendant, breaking her nose.
Brian Hsu, 20 years old, of Irvine, California, was arrested for assault and interference with flight crew following an alleged altercation that took place on board an American Airlines flight, from New York, to Santa Ana, California, on October 27.
Hsu was flying first class when the flight attendant accidentally bumped into him. He punched him at least twice.
Mackenzie Rose, a passenger, stated that she saw the flight attendant pass her after the incident and saw ‘blood on her mask’. She speculated that the attacker might be drunk or high.
Meanwhile, a photo posted on Twitter appeared to show crew members and passengers duct-taping the man to his seat.
After posting a $10,000 bond, he appeared before U.S. district Judge Autumn Spaeth in Santa Ana. He will be next in Denver court on November 15.
Hsu was permanently prohibited from flying with America Airlines.
The company stated in a statement that “This behavior must cease.”

Police arrived at the airport and arrested Brian Hsu, 20. He was photographed sitting in Denver International Airport with Mackenzie Rose in handcuffs.

A passenger snapped a picture and shared it on Twitter. It showed crew members on American Airlines Flight 976 rallying to get the man a seat using duct tape after the assault.

Mackenzie Rose (pictured), American Airlines passenger on flight 976, stated that he punched her twice. She had blood on her mask and she was seen walking down the aisle.
American Airlines’ head Doug Parker called the altercation “one of the most unruly behavior displays we’ve ever seen,” in an Instagram post and video.
‘Last night, American Airlines had one of the worst displays we’ve seen, when a passenger violently assaulted one of our flight attendants. Our flight attendant is now in recovery and we are providing support for her and her fellow crew members.
“The passenger will not be allowed to fly American again, and we are doing all we can to ensure that they are prosecuted to their full extent.” These interactions are not the norm but they must be stopped.
The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA), which was responding to an increase in reports of aggressive behavior while flying, announced earlier this month that it would implement a zero-tolerance policy towards unruly passengers.
In August, the agency stated that it had issued more $1 million in fines for unruly passengers in 2021. The agency also revealed that there have already been over 5,000 reports from unruly passengers this past year.
Seventy-five per cent of all the altercations are related to mask-use.
