One person was killed and three others were injured when a train struck a group of migrants who were walking along the tracks near Calais.
Franck Dhersin, regional leader of Eritrea, stated that all four victims were Eritreans. One of the injured was described as being in an ‘absolute urgent’ condition.
SNCF, a train operator, said that traffic would be suspended on the Calais–Dunkerque railway line until Friday morning.
